Removing the EGR Valve on the Ford Focus MK3 1.6 TDCI

In this guide, discover the steps to remove, clean, or replace the EGR valve on the third generation Ford Focus with a 1.6 TDCI engine. First, open the bonnet of your car and locate the EGR valve, which is found at the top of the engine; then unscrew its two fixing screws using a T30 Torx key, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector from the valve sensor and remove it; now clean it using a suitable degreaser, or proceed with the replacement!
