How to Replace the Thermostat in a Ford Focus?

To replace the thermostat in a Ford Focus, first remove the lower engine bay protection panel. Once this is removed, access the engine bay to remove the battery. Disconnect the terminals and loosen the fixing bolts to lift it out of its housing, allowing access to the thermostat. Disconnect the hoses to free the thermostat from its seat and replace it with a new part; after replacement, refit all removed components.
