Then, we will need to remove the air filter assembly and the engine cover. After that, we will also need to remove the valve cover, which also covers the timing belt. Next, we will need to remove the lower timing belt cover. At this point, we will need to loosen the tensioner, then remove the belt by pulling it upwards, and we will have completed the disassembly. To install the new timing belt on our Ford Focus, we simply need to follow these steps in reverse, and we will have completed the replacement.
