How to replace the timing belt of the 2018 Ford Transit

The timing belt of the Ford Transit must be replaced after about 5 or 6 years of use of the vehicle or after traveling between 100,000 and 180,000 km. Sometimes it may be necessary to replace it earlier because problems such as squeaking and loss of engine power occur. To replace the timing belt, we must first open the hood and then remove the front right wheel. Immediately after, we proceed to remove the water pump and the engine bracket. From the bottom of the vehicle, loosen the pulley and remove the belt. Insert the new one and tighten the pulley, reassemble the bracket and the water pump, and finally the wheel and the wheel arch.
