In this video, we see a clearly visible example of how the copper metal ring on the injector appears when it is faulty. This can occur mainly due to wear and tear, or incorrect positioning. The diesel slowly leaks, producing short, repeated hissing sounds during cold start-up, which become less noticeable as the engine warms up, but still audible. The injector rings must be completely replaced, as the cost is very low, and if another faulty ring were to cause issues again, we would be forced to repeat the operation a second time.
