How do you adjust the handbrake on a Ford Fiesta 2005?

Adjusting the handbrake is a fairly simple operation, but it requires a bit of patience. Start by parking the car on a flat surface, then pull the handbrake and loosen the nuts on the rear wheels. Use a jack to lift the car and place it on secure stands. Now, locate the handbrake cable under the central tunnel, near the lever. Using a wrench, slightly unscrew the adjustment nut until you achieve the correct tension: the brake should lock after 5-7 clicks of the lever. Make sure the rear wheels spin freely when the brake is released. Once finished, lower the car, tighten the wheel nuts, and take it for a test drive. If you do not feel confident in performing this operation on your own, seek assistance from a trusted workshop.
