Once the piece is removed, unscrew the handbrake's securing nuts (using a socket wrench or screwdriver with a bit). When the handbrake lever is free, adjust the lever itself by loosening or tightening the pins. Finally, reassemble the cover and all associated parts in reverse order.

Test the correct operation of the handbrake lever.
