To remove the starter motor from the Ford Fiesta, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Locate the starter motor, positioned near the gearbox, at the bottom of the engine.

If necessary, raise the vehicle for better access to the lower area. Disconnect the electrical cables connected to the starter by unbolting the securing nuts.

Then locate the bolts that secure the starter to the engine block and remove them with an appropriate spanner. Once all fixings are removed, pull the starter out from its housing.

Ensure you handle it carefully during removal.
