To replace the battery of the remote key for a Ford Transit, locate the back of the remote and find the gap between the two halves of the shell. Gently insert a small flat screwdriver into the gap and lever to open the remote, separating the two halves without forcing them excessively.

Remove the exhausted battery from the compartment and replace it with a new one of the same type, ensuring correct polarity as indicated inside. Once the new battery is inserted, close the remote by pressing the two halves together until they click into place, ensuring they are aligned correctly.

Finally, check the remote's functionality by pressing the buttons to control the opening and closing of the doors and ensure all functions are operational.
