Replacing the Engine Air Filter with a K&N Model

Replacing the original engine air filter with a sports type will certainly improve engine performance: the K&N model is among the best choices. In this case, not only the filter element was replaced but the entire air intake kit including the filter housing. The first step is to remove the original air filter housing by disconnecting the vacuum hoses and the mass air sensor connector. Next, install the support brackets of the new air intake kit, securing one to one of the throttle body mounting pins and the larger bracket to the old mounting points. Then attach the hose to the throttle body and relocate the mass air sensor to the new connector to be secured to the hose. Reconnect the hoses and finally the intake cone.
