How to Replace the Rear Number Plate Bulb

In this video, we will see how easy it is to replace the number plate light bulb on a Ford Mondeo by following a few simple steps. First, you need a flathead screwdriver to remove the light unit that contains the number plate bulb. Then, obtain a bulb with the same amperage and voltage as the original one you are replacing. At this point, lift the boot lid for easier access; take the screwdriver and lever to remove the light unit from its housing; once removed, disconnect the electrical connector; turn the bulb holder anti-clockwise (as shown in the video); now pull out the bulb and replace it with a working one. Reverse the steps to reassemble all the parts. Finally, test the operation of the number plate light.
