Replacing the Key Battery of the Ford Focus Mk3

To change the battery in the electronic key of your Focus, turn the remote and release the internal key, which is also the top part of it. Now, using a small screwdriver, gently separate the front from the back, being careful not to damage the plastics. Inside the key body are all the microchips, while the battery that needs changing is in the cover. It is a 2032 battery, which can be easily removed and costs very little on all major e-commerce platforms. Ensure to place it back in the correct position, with the writing facing inwards, so that the positive and negative terminals are aligned. At this point, you can press the cover back on and reposition the internal key. The job is complete.
