To replace the gear knob on a Ford Ka, lift the chrome part of the knob using a screwdriver to pry underneath it. Once the chrome cover is removed, use a socket spanner to loosen the bolt underneath, allowing you to pull the knob off the end of the lever. Next, detach the base of the leather gaiter by unclipping its fastening clips and removing the strap located inside the cover. Finally, install the new replacement parts.
