To change the keyless remote battery on a Ford Focus, start by taking a small screwdriver and prying upwards in the slot on the side of the remote. Lift off the cover and remove it. Once the cover is off, you will find the battery in the section without buttons. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry upwards and remove the battery. Now take the new battery out of its packaging and insert it into the slot where the old battery was, ensuring the + symbol is facing the cover. Once the new battery is in place, close the remote until you hear a click and test the new battery.
