Before you start, ensure you have the necessary materials: a new battery and a flathead screwdriver or alternatively a small knife. Take the car's key fob and insert the tip of the screwdriver (or knife) into the slot at the bottom edge of the casing and lever it open. You will then have access to the battery compartment; proceed to remove the old battery and replace it. The required battery model is a flat CR 2032 3V.
