In this video tutorial, you can see how to install a short shifter in a Ford Fiesta (MK8). The short shifter is a device that reduces the throw of the gear lever. First, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. The required tools are: an Allen key, a tool to remove the airbox, a 7 mm socket, a screwdriver, and a 10 mm spanner. Start by removing the airbox, loosening the clamp to detach the intake hose connected to the airbox. Once the hose is removed, you can take out the airbox by prying it slightly. Now, install the short shifter onto the bracket, aligning the hole with the factory attachment. Once the bracket is mounted, simply reinsert the gear lever, positioning it over the new pin until it clicks into place.
