To replace the gear knob on a Ford Fiesta, start by lowering the gear gaiter by pulling it down. Now take the gear knob and unscrew it by turning it counterclockwise.

Once the old gear knob is removed, take the new gear knob, position it on the lever, and screw it on, ensuring the symbol on the knob (the gear shift pattern) aligns with the numbers 2 and 4 towards the handbrake lever. After screwing on the gear knob, raise the gaiter and fit it into the ring beneath the gear knob.
