To replace the gear knob on the Ford Focus, grip the knob and rotate it counterclockwise. This procedure will allow you to completely detach the old knob from the top of the gear lever, enabling you to insert the new replacement part.

The new knob can then be positioned and secured by rotating it clockwise. After installation, ensure it is firmly attached and does not cause any issues during gear changes.
