Knowing where to reliably find the chassis number of a commercial vehicle is very important, as if stopped by the Police or Customs, searching for the chassis number through trial and error may lead them to suspect that the vehicle could be stolen, especially if it is not registered in your name.

Unfortunately, manufacturers do not always assist us, as sometimes the legal chassis number is not readily accessible.

This is the case with the Ford Transit MK8, where you need to look for the chassis number in the front left wheel arch (viewing the vehicle from the front), on the passenger side, just behind the wheel.

How to Reset the Tire Pressure Light on a MG ZS?
