Adjusting the Handbrake on the Ford Fiesta

If pulling the handbrake lever on the Ford Fiesta does not provide sufficient braking even when fully pulled, you can adjust its setting. Sit in the driver's seat and use a flathead screwdriver to detach the protective cover at the base of the handbrake lever, pulling it upwards to expose the base of the lever. Next to it, you will notice an adjustment consisting of a threaded rod and a nut. By turning this nut with a spanner, you can increase the force. Refit the cover, then test to verify the effectiveness of the adjustment.
