How to Replace the Front Headlamp on a Ford Focus MK1

In this video, we will see how to replace the front headlamp on the Ford Focus MK1: open the bonnet. To remove the headlamp, you need to take off the bracket that holds the headlight assembly to the body, which is secured with a bolt; there are also two clips on the sides. The video shows these poorly because the replaced headlamp was severely damaged, so we only see the bolts attached to fragments of plastic, but afterwards, it will be sufficient to disconnect the electrical connector that powers the headlamp from the rear. To fit the new headlamp, however, you will also need to remove the small grille at the front of the vehicle. Therefore, proceed from the top, removing the metal strip that covers the bonnet latch, then the grille (there are only a few screws, as seen in the video). At this point, you will have enough space to insert the new headlamp, which can be found, for example, on tarostrade.it for £73.92 + £7.00 for delivery. Secure the headlamp to its two mounts, replace the grille and metal strip, and reattach the bracket that secures the headlight assembly to the body. Job done.
