How to Replace the Rear Suspension on a Ford Focus

Lift your vehicle on axle stands and remove the wheel for easier access. Now, unscrew the bolt that acts as the lower strut, but before removing it, apply pressure to the suspension to prevent it from extending suddenly. After removing the bolt, you can move the cylinder containing the piston, unscrew the bolt at the top, and you will be able to fully remove the suspension piston. Install the new part by retracing your steps and follow the reverse order for reassembling everything else.
