Replacing the Front Wheel Bearing

If the wheel has significant lateral play and unusual noise, the problem lies with the bearings, so obtain the replacement parts and proceed with the replacement. For this job, you will need a special 29mm socket to remove the hub bolt. Lift the vehicle, secure it, and remove the wheel. Disassemble the entire brake drum to free the shaft by unscrewing the bolt on the hub. Clean thoroughly from old grease. Refit the new drum with the bearing after properly greasing it, and tighten the hub bolt carefully with a torque wrench. Refit the wheel.
