In this guide, you will replace the engine oil, oil filters, and clutch on the Honda X-ADV 750 from 2017 to 2019. Obtain four litres of Castrol SAE 10W30 oil, engine oil filter 15410MCJ505, clutch oil filter 15412MGSD21, O-ring 91302-PAS 5, and a copper washer with an outer diameter of 20mm, inner diameter of 13mm, and thickness of 1mm. First, position the motorcycle upright using the centre stand. Place a container for collecting the used oil under the engine. Lie down on a mechanic's creeper on the right side of the motorcycle. Using a 17mm spanner, unscrew the oil drain plug located at the bottom left of the engine casing, between the casing and the exhaust. Allow all the oil to drain, clean the oil drain plug, especially the tip that acts as a magnet for the debris expelled by the engine. Using a strap wrench, unscrew the oil filter located vertically in front of the engine casing. Using an 8mm socket, remove the two bolts holding the clutch filter cover, located on the lower left rear, between the two parallel fairings. Be very careful when removing the cover as oil will spill out. Underneath, you will find a gasket or O-ring to replace. Remove the spring located on the head of the filter. Once the spring is removed, extract the filter. Use a pair of snap ring pliers to grip the central loop of the filter head. Replace it with the new one, reassembling everything as it was disassembled. Replace the engine oil filter by soaking the gasket in oil, hand-tighten it, and then tighten it one turn with the strap wrench. Replace the oil drain plug gasket with a copper gasket of 20mm outer diameter, and tighten it. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and clean it, then add three litres of SAE 10W30 oil. The manufacturer specifies 3.4 litres including filters. Once you have added the three litres, adjust according to the level indicated on the filler cap/dipstick.
