To change the oil and filter on a Honda Civic MK7, you will need just under 4 litres of 10W140 semi-synthetic oil and a filter that can be found on Amazon with code B004ZK2BL2 for £5.90, with free delivery. Heat the oil for 5 minutes, lift the front of the vehicle and place it on axle stands. After opening the filler cap, drain the old oil into a large container: dispose of it along with the old filter at an authorised centre. While it drains, replace the filter: remove the old one and fit the new one, lubricating the seal with a bit of clean oil. Screw the filter on by hand, then tighten without forcing. Once the oil has drained, replace the cap and seal and close it. Lower the car and pour approximately 3.5 litres of oil into the filler neck: start the engine for 30 seconds, wait 2 minutes to allow the filter to fill, and check the dipstick. Top up until the level is between minimum and maximum (up to 3.8 litres total). Check for leaks and close the bonnet.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
