Fuel Filter Replacement

Part: Diesel fuel filter

The diesel filter is located at the rear right of the engine bay, just below the windscreen; once you have disconnected the connectors of the relevant sensors and the inlet and outlet pipes from the filter, you can remove it along with its support. Once on the workbench, proceed with the replacement of the filter by first unscrewing the lower cap with the sensor, which will need to be fitted to the new filter, and then the filter itself from the support. Once the new filter and cap are fitted to the support, install everything back in the vehicle by reconnecting the connectors and pipes. Finally, before starting the engine, fill the filter using the manual pump.

To loosen this panel, unscrew the two screws found at its top, just below the handlebar. Once these screws are loosened, lever under the panel to detach it, gaining access to the battery underneath: this battery must be removed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the power cables, replacing it with a new one.
