Engine Air Filter Replacement

The air filter prolongs the life of a car's engine by ensuring proper operation. When the air filter is worn, it compromises the air/fuel ratio. The air filter cannot be cleaned. It is an inexpensive component that can be easily removed from its housing and from outside the engine. To access the air filter, open the car's bonnet, remove the filter from its housing, and replace it with a new one. Dispose of the old one. Before placing the new filter, clean the housing to ensure maximum effectiveness of the filter.
