The frequency of changing the filter can depend on factors such as the type of road you drive on and the area where the car is parked.

It is usually advisable to change the filter around 12,500 miles, otherwise, you may encounter problems such as premature wear of the engine, piston rings, spark plugs, and pistons, issues with the throttle valve that can cause a loss of power, engine seizure, and injector problems.
