To be able to adjust the valve clearance it is first of all necessary to have the appropriate thickness gauge and to know the clearance value to be assigned to the intake and exhaust valves. Then disconnect the negative pole of the battery and proceed with the disassembly of the tappet cover in order to be able to access the camshaft. It will also be necessary to remove the intake manifold to access the rear bank: disconnect the hoses and sockets connected to the manifold and then remove it; remove the ignition coils and spark plug caps, freeing the relative wiring from the cable guide, both on the front and rear banks. At this point, remove the covers to access the valve registers. Remove the right front wheel to access the crankshaft pulley and rotate it to align the timing references; then proceed with adjusting the valve clearance: loosen the adjusting nut, insert the feeler gauge and adjust the play with the screwdriver until the feeler gauge enters and exits slightly forced, tighten the adjusting nut again and so on for each valve . Reassemble everything.
