To remove and replace the thermostat on a Honda Civic, first open the bonnet and unscrew the three bolts arranged in a triangular pattern that hold the thermostat in place. Allow the coolant to drain into a container placed under the vehicle, which will flow out from the thermostat. Remove the thermostat, disconnecting the attached hose as well. To complete the job, simply replace it with a new one, install a new hose, and ensure the bolts are tightened correctly.
