Installation of Wheel Locking Bolts

One way to prevent thieves from removing your car wheels to steal them is to install a locking bolt: a great way to deter even the most persistent thieves. First, you need to purchase (from a car parts centre or online) the appropriate locking bolt for your car's wheels (diameter, pitch, and thread length): this is a special bolt that replaces the traditional bolts that secure the wheel to the hub, but with a uniquely shaped head that can only be grasped with the specific key provided with the bolts. You can choose to replace just one bolt per wheel or all the bolts. If you decide to apply just one bolt per wheel, it is not necessary to lift the vehicle; you can proceed by unscrewing the bolt and replacing it with the locking one; using the appropriate key, ensure that the bolts are tightly secured. Finally, repeat the process for the other three wheels. Do not forget to keep the key for unscrewing the locking bolts and store it in a safe place, even in the boot of the car along with the warning triangle.
