If the smart key for your Honda CR-V Mk5 has suddenly stopped working due to a completely dead battery, don't worry. You can complete the replacement by following these simple steps. First, remove the emergency key from inside the fob and then use it to pry open the fob itself. Next, locate the dead battery and remove it as well. Finally, insert the new button cell battery (model CR 2032) and reassemble the fob. Don't forget to insert the emergency key back into its slot.
