How to change the engine oil in the Hyundai Santa Fe

On the Hyundai Santa Fe, the oil change is done from underneath, accessing through a small hatch in the lower protection. The video starts from there: open the hatch and create space to reach both the drain plug and the filter area, allowing you to work without removing the entire cover.

With the container ready underneath, loosen the sump plug on the Hyundai Santa Fe and let the oil drain, ensuring the stream goes well into the container. Once the drain is underway and the area is clear, move to the oil filter: access it from the same opening, unscrew and remove it carefully as it is normal for some oil to still leak out. Before fitting the replacement, prepare the new filter by applying a thin layer of oil on the seal to ensure a good fit and facilitate closure.

Then screw the filter in place and tighten it without forcing, keeping your hand steady and aligned correctly in the opening. Once the underside is complete, close the hatch of the lower protection and return to the engine compartment of the Hyundai Santa Fe for topping up: the video shows the use of a funnel to add oil through the filler cap.
