Replacement of Cylinder Head Fixing Pins

When performing a repair that requires the removal of the cylinder head, it is good practice to use a new set of gaskets and seals, as well as new pins for securing the cylinder head during reassembly. Clean the threaded holes with a tap to remove any thread lock residue or burrs, ensuring no debris enters the cylinders. Position the new gasket and the head to be secured with the new set of pins, applying copper grease to the base of the thread and just below the head. Tighten the pins in a cross pattern using both a torque wrench and a standard spanner.
