In the event of boiling of the coolant, one of the possible causes is due to damage to the cylinder head gasket; replacing the latter requires a series of steps that must necessarily be followed. First of all, the surface of the head must be leveled to eliminate any deformation induced by overheating; therefore check the perfect flatness of the surface using a ground bar and a thickness gauge for valves; repeat the same check on the cylinder base; rework the threads of the cylinder head fixing holes without letting chips end up in the cylinders; check the pistons come out of the crankcase with a depth gauge to exclude knocks; finally apply the new gasket and the cylinder head, fixing it with a new set of pins which will be locked following a crossed pattern and using the dynamometric and graduated wrench.
