Video tutorial
This video shows a quick method to disable the systems while driving a Hyundai Tucson, which has a physical button located on the right side of the steering wheel. To disable only the "Lane Keeping Assist" that actively corrects the steering, briefly press this button. To also disable the "steering assist", which often includes the "lane following assist", press and hold the same button for 2 to 3 seconds. This deactivation only applies for the current journey. Upon the next ignition of the car, the systems will automatically reactivate. To disable them permanently, you must access the settings via the infotainment system: look for a section called "safety" or "driver assistance" where you will find the options "Lane keeping assist" and "lane following assist" that you can deactivate.
