Replacing the Suspension Arm

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

The car's suspension arm connects the chassis to the struts, but if it bends due to an impact, wears out, or breaks, it must be replaced as a faulty arm can lead to a loss of vehicle control. This is an easy job that you can do yourself without needing a mechanic. First, lift the car with a jack. Remove the hubcap and the bolts. Then, disconnect the stabiliser link from the arm using two 14mm spanners. You can then extract it without fear of breaking it. Once the joint is removed, the suspension arm will be in front of you, ready to be taken out.
