Fitting the Bonnet Opening Struts

Model: Jeep Compass 552, MK 2 - Years 2016-2025

Insert the nut and the round head with the screw into the second of the two designated holes, which is the one closest to the engine bay (the innermost hole). Tighten this nut with a 13 mm socket wrench. Now, on the bonnet, remove the nut and the head (also with the same 13 mm socket) and position the bracket. Refit the nut and the screw to secure the bracket. Ensure that the bracket is well aligned and repeat the operation on the opposite side of the bonnet. Lubricate the heads with some grease and fit the struts by simply pushing them into place with force.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening.
