Removing the Gear Knob and Centre Console on a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Model: Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2, MK 4 - Years 2010-2021

First, you need to lift the large plastic cover that conceals the centre console and the area around the gear lever. To do this, simply pull the plastic upwards, gripping it from the rear; it will require some force. For safety, lift the small flap located in front of the gear lever first. Once the cover is lifted, you can access the screw (Torx T25) of the gear lever: unscrew it. At this point, you can disconnect the connector and remove the gear knob, which will also come off with the centre console cover, including the gaiter and cup holder.
