Before starting, sit in the driver's seat of your Jeep Grand Cherokee. Begin by putting the gearbox in neutral.

Then, pull the low range lever fully towards you. Once this step is complete, initially engage second gear and then first gear. Once you have engaged first gear, you will have successfully engaged low range.
