How to Replace the Remote Key Battery of a Jeep Renegade

To replace the battery of the key/remote for the Jeep Renegade, start by extracting the metal key from its housing within the block that contains the remote itself. To do this, move (and hold in position) the metal lever found on one side of the remote and pull the metal key out of its slot. Now, using a screwdriver, pry inside the key slot and continue along the perimeter defined by the two shells that make up the remote. As these two shells separate, you can access the battery. Remove it from its housing (using, for example, a small screwdriver) and replace it with a new one. Reassemble everything and you're done!
