Today, see how to change the automatic gearbox oil on a Jeep Renegade; the same procedure can also be used on a Jeep Compass. First, lift the vehicle and locate the gearbox oil reservoir; then unscrew the drain bolt and let all the oil flow out. Next, remove the entire sump to clean it thoroughly from any old residual oil, and reassemble it (also replace the filter if possible).

Finally, pour the new gearbox oil with the appropriate specifications into the designated upper hole in the engine bay.

Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
