Jeep Renegade - Video tutorial

Model: Jeep Renegade BU, 520, MK 1 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Gear oil
Operation: How is gear oil measured in the Jeep Renegade

First of all we need to read the graph indicating the gearbox oil level at different engine temperatures. In this way we find out the minimum, average and maximum level that the gear oil should have in the car we are checking. It is a good idea to apply the handbrake before checking. At this point we must use the special pliers to unscrew the cap of the appropriate hole for checking the aforementioned oil. This hole is located on the left side of the gearbox, just below the windshield. We introduce, in the hole, a rod, graduated in mm, similar to the one for checking the engine oil. Let's compare the measured level with that indicated in the graph based on the engine temperature that we will read on the dashboard. And that's it.
