How to Change the Engine Oil on a Jeep Renegade

To replace the engine oil on a Jeep Renegade, it is advisable to bring the engine to operating temperature, then turn it off and safely lift the vehicle. After removing the oil filler cap, place a container under the sump and unscrew the drain plug to allow the used oil to completely drain out. Once drained, reinstall the plug with the appropriate gasket and proceed to replace the oil filter, lubricating the new gasket with a thin layer of new oil before installation. Next, fill the engine with the quantity and specification of oil recommended by the manufacturer. Once filling is complete, start the engine for a few seconds, check for leaks, and verify the level with the dipstick or monitoring system, topping up as necessary to reach the correct level.
