Engine Oil Change for Jeep Renegade

In this video, you will see how to change the engine oil of the famous Jeep Renegade. First, lift the vehicle using a lift or (if you don’t have one) with a jack and remove the cover that conceals the engine oil drain plug. Allow all the residual oil to drain completely (leave it for more than half an hour): after that, screw the plug back in, reattach the cover, and proceed to pour the new oil into the engine. It is very important to replace the oil filter, especially if you are using a type of mineral oil that may be less refined compared to synthetic oil. Perform this type of maintenance every 12,500 miles maximum.

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
