How to replace the key battery for the Jeep Renegade

If the remote for the Jeep Renegade is not working, it may simply be due to a dead battery. To replace the battery, first obtain a similar battery to the original: (the battery is a flat CR 2032 type, 3V). Now take the key and start disassembling the plastic covers. As shown in the video, press the button to release the key from its housing; extract the key, take the removal kit, hold the remote in one hand, insert the kit into the designated slot, and open the cover. Once the cover is open, remove the old battery and insert the new one. Reassemble the parts and check for proper operation.
