Operation: How to mount the rear view camera on the Jeep Compass?

By purchasing a kit with a specific rear camera for the car, it will be possible to mount it by following the steps below: in essence, the standard "plate light" band is replaced with the one in which the rear view camera is embedded inside. The band that needs to be removed is the complete band (the one on which the Jeep lettering is fixed). Then unscrew the 4 screws on the sides and release the various clips gently. Take the new panel, fit it in place of the previous one and route the power cables with the plugs in the flexible cable glands located above the tailgate until reaching the dashboard through the roof and one of the pillars.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
