How do you replace the battery of the Kia Optima remote control?

In order to replace the battery of the Kia Optima remote control, you need to remove the key from the top of the device so that you can pry open the housing: this way you can fully open the remote control and access the battery inside. The battery can be removed from the housing and replaced with a new one; once the new battery is inserted, you can close the remote control and reposition the key inside.
