How to reset the service of the Kia K5

Model: Kia Optima / K5 DL3, MK 5 - Years 2015-2021

In this video, we will see how to reset the service light of a Kia K5 (also known as Optima in some markets) equipped with a digital instrument panel and multifunction steering wheel. Turn on the ignition, and without pressing the brake, press the start button twice. Use the arrow keys on the left side of the steering wheel to navigate through the onboard computer options until you find the "setup" or "settings" menu, and select it by pressing the "ok" button. Then scroll through the options until you find the "vehicle" menu and confirm. Within the submenu, we must find the "cluster" option referring to the instrument panel, and then "service interval". At this point, the reset option will appear, which we will confirm with "ok". Turn off and restart to confirm.
