Today, we will explain how to replace the timing belt on a Kia Cee D. The timing belt, which connects all auxiliary services such as the alternator and air compressor, is located on the right side of the engine. Replacing it is a straightforward task you can do yourself.

Lift the vehicle on a ramp or axle stands and remove the lower cover using a socket wrench with a 10 mm insert. Using a wrench with a 14 mm socket, loosen the pulley nut to remove the worn belt.

Lubricate the new belt with oil and fit it onto the pulley, tightening with the 14 mm socket. Once the belt is fitted, reattach the lower engine cover and lower the vehicle.
